I recently removed the XP Antivirus 2008 from my computer, but I’m still having problems. My desktop icons won’t show, My computer, Control Panel, etc. won’t show up when I click on them on the start menu or when using task manager. Also my taskbar freezes up a lot. Is there anyway I can fix it?

antivirus xp 2008 is a malware. you probably opened some spam email or something and it infected your computer. if you have antispyware, just run a scan and it will be gone. if you don’t use antispyware, you can delete this thing manually, here’s a tutorial:

XP Antivirus 2008 can be removed for free. i would not waste money on those programs or even use spybot. You can follow the steps that i followed at http://www.spyware-techie.com/xp-antivirus-2008-removal-guide/
It worked for me and now i dont have anymore popups.
