Help???Antivirus 2009?

October 20th, 2008 · 8 Comments

So last night I downloaded Antivirus 2009.. Thinking it was AVG!!!
How could I remove Antivirus 2009 without downloading anything.

I have no credit cards,etc.. I am only 16.. My step dad knows about it,but he is at work( which is 7 hours away)

How should I trust you? How can I get it off? I would HATE for my laptop to crash. My mom doesn’t know what to do and doesn’t care(mothers) so yeah..

If I did download something that didn’t add to me being annoyed, how would I remove it afterwards??

Thanks!

would this help?

As you have probably figured out, it is spyware. Download spybot from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html . Update it, and run it. If it dosen’t take care of it. Have your laptop looked at by a professional!

redwofl’s suggestion of Spybot Search and Destroy is good.

Also malware bytes Anti-malware from http://malwarebytes.org is a good product at removing AV 2009 and it’s variants.

Both products are free, and legitimate… watch out, many so called “spyware/virus removers” are themselves spyware.

Both Spybot and Malwarebytes products are free and “legitimate”

You can also do an online virus scan (free) for any “left overs” after you run the two products above at http://eset.com/onlinescan

google malware bites free edition and download it.
You cant really trust me so…idk im telling you this because my boyfriend works at debug computer in Reno, Nevada. Idk where you live but yeah. Get rid of the mistake you make and then download AVG because its the best virus control for free. Good luck!
