….isn’t uninstalling it.
I have done what it said. I downloaded the utility, put it in safe mode. It said to click ‘Remove’, but there isn’t an option for that, just ‘Uninstall’. When it says to restart to make the uninstall complete, I restart then I go to the folder and it is still there.
PLEASE HELP!!!..
The reason why I am trying to uninstall it is cause it installed a new version, quite a big new version. I restarted the computer and tried to open Avast to do a scan with the new version and it will not open.
Of course I can not uninstall it with ‘Add/Remove Programs.
So I am stuck. I was going to restore it, but what good would that do, I have had Avast for 6 months. I was going to restore it from the last restore point, which was 3 days ago when windows updated.
But what good would that do.
I need major help here…PLEASE!!! Thanks to anyone who can help me!!
does anyone read the whole question. I said I did it in safe mode. And how can I reinstall when I cant even uninstall it.

i guess there is only one thing you can do DELETE the folder from program files
My Computer > C drive > Program Files > folder of the AVAST
right click and delete
then go to control panel and remove it from there completely it should work
then there is an awesome Antivirus out there AVG antivirus 8.0 free edition
