If I type in my IP address into my web search bar it asks for username and password and it used to be no username and password "admin" i recently locked it so you need to gave an encryption key but now i can't use the password admin with no u sername anymore? Do you know what it would have changed for? I am doing this so I have wi-fi for playing my nintendo ds.

The encryption key protects access to your network from external sources. It has nothing to do with your administrative password. You apparently changed it without realizing you did so. So just hold the reset button (on the back of the router) in for 5 seconds or so to go back to factory default settings; then re-enter the router's configuration page with the default "admin" password and restore all of your other settings.
