June 22nd, 2008 · 4 Comments

I want to basically replicate my computer onto my external hard drive.

Space is not an issue on my external as its about 4 times the size of my computers hard drive. I have a 160GB Western Digital HD that just shows up as a removable disk with no software.

If you need more i will update, just ask…

Depends on the operating system. with windows just search for backup. There are also programs online that have this feature.

I have an external hard drive but mine has a disc,

I put the disc in first and followed the instructions for connection and then it came up start download and I got window come up stating what files I wanted to save to the HD I click all the boxes for the full backup and it just started and backs up every month for new items I have put on…

All I can suggest is that you put the disc in go int my computer and click on it to see if it opens, alternatively read the instructions that came with the HD
