If you still have the XP disc, try re-installing it. Its called reformatting the hard drive…it works.

Contact Microsoft and they will help you once you give them your key or an identifier from the computer. or use a key finder.

OK this is what you do. Start the computer and before you get to the windows splash screen tap the f8 key to get into safe mode. Once in safe mode click on the admistration account. Goto control panel user accounts. Click on the account that you want to go into and click remove password. And restart computer and now you can log in to that account.
you could also try
go to start
run
cmd and hit enter
type net user (your username) *
and type your new password

Try this:
1.Log out and reboot your machine.
2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.
3.Select Safe Mode from the resulting menu with the arrow keys.
4.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different. You won't be able to see the Internet, for instance. Log in as Administrator. Administrator often has no password.
5.Click on the Start->Control Panel menu item.
6.Click on User Accounts.
7.Click on your regular account.
8.Click on Remove the Password.
9.Finish up and reboot normally.
Good luck.
