you have been infected my friend with a win32 type virus. The only way I know how to get rid of it is to do a full system recovery. Anytime you get those pop ups while on the web, you need to use ctrl+alt+delete to stop them. Because when you click on the red X it will down load it.

Many people have been sucked in by this rogue program and variants.
Not sure about Vista but try this:
Start>Search>All Files and Folders.
Type "XPA.exe" without the quotes in the search box.
Delete the File/Folder XPA.exe.
Delete all Files named XPA.
Make sure you have a good Internet Security Suite, and you will not need to click on any FREE things
