I have Vista as well so I know how to help you.
Step 1. Shut Down Your Computer
Step 2. Load It Up
Step 3. First it will show the dell logo, you have to press F8 to access the menu. This is the Safe Mode part.
Step 4. Choose Safe Mode. If you can't see the start button press the Windows Key(The flag)
Step 5. It will show a box saying this:
Username:
Administrator
Password:
___________
Step 6. If you didn't set a password(No one usually does), click [Enter]
Step 7. Go to the start menu and click Control Panel.
Step 8. Go to User Accounts.
Step 9. Find your account name and click it.
Step 10. Click Change Password.
Step 11. Change the password.
Step 12. Reboot.
Step 13. Login with your new password.

go to safe mode. start your pc start tapping F8>use the arrow key to select safe mode>press enter>there should be 2 account your account and the administrator account. select the administrator account. now you can delete the password or your account. just go to control panel user account and find your username.
