i mean i know my computer isnt a newer version i have only 224 ram
and my computer goes sooo slow i can barley play my favorite game now can someone tell me anything that will indeed improve my computer speed to really fast because im to young to work and i dont have money to pay for anything until may next year i really need some help im tired of it moving so slowly

One thing to look at is the processor. If it is reasonably new (within the last five years even) you can skip the processor check and move on to the next step.
With any processor over 1Ghz, the big thing really is ram. If you upgrade your ram things should run more smoothly. Just make sure it is the same speed as what cam with the computer, or at least a compatible speed. You may have to dig in the documentation to find that out. It may actually be printed on a label on the installed ram chips.
I would install as much ram as the machine will support and see how that effects it. Also, if you are running windows (most versions) make sure the hard disk that windows is installed too does not get too full.
This has to do with how windows handles virtual memory (swap files). I am not sure if this effects Vista or not, but with 224MB of RAM, Vista is a no-go.
