I had the internet explorer icon on my desktop..and i tried to clean up some space on my computer by deleting some programs that i never use–and now i dont have an "internet explorer" icon..it just says internet. When i click on it, all that pops up is the internet options box. i can only get to my regular emial by using the button on my keyboard which at least means i didnt delete the internet in general. is there any way to get it back on my desktop?

probably look for it in programs and drag it on to your desktop or go to start then run then type what your looking for or check your documents

First you go to the programs…
Defenitely the internet explorer menu item will be there, you right click on it–select copy—
come to desktop—right click and select "paste shortcut" not paste…. Now it will work.. if again problem is shown, simply reinstall modem driver, and reset the connection…

Find the program in your 'All Programs' list, which you get to by clicking on the start button. Right click it, choose copy, the right click the desktop and choose paste. An alternative way to find it is go to your local drive (probably C)>Program files>Internet Explorer and copy the iexplore, then right clcik and paste a shortcut to that on your desktop. You can rename a shortcut and it will still work.

1. Right click on the desktop -> New -> Shortcut
2. in the window that comes up type
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
3. click "Next>"
4. Name it whatever you want (probably Internet Exploiter)
5. Click "Finish" and presto, new shortcut to IE.
