How can i reinstall Shlwapi.dll?

I accidentally deleted Shlwapi.dll while removing a virus. On start up i get a message that says: winlogon.exe - Unable to locate component. " This application has failed to start because Shlwapi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I really need some help with this laptop - it runs on XP… and it's not mine please I need some help. Thank you.

go to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?shlwapi download the dll file. Unzip it. Rename that old SHLWAPI.DLL to something like SHLWAPI.OLD and copy the dll file you unzipped into that same folder. Restart and see if the problem is still there. you may need to copy file to disk and install it from there.
