My computer was really slow when I got it for Christmas and now it is really starting to get on my nerves as I am taking it to school to take notes on and it will freeze up constantly with just one or two programs running. I have disabled the sidebar and all the programs running that I don’t need. I have even added RAM to it. I have 2 GB of RAM installed now and it originally only came with 512 MB. It has a 80 GB Hard Drive. I think my problem is the processor which is AMD Sempron. Would it be best/cheaper for me to upgrade the processor or are there any programs that will help it run slower. I run Defrag constantly. I have a virus, spyware, and firewall blocker installed on here. I am just tired of it running slow…. any help really appriciated.
Thanks alot.
I could install XP but if I can I would preffer to keep Vista. I really like it except for the fact that it just runs to slow.

Create a recovery disk and re-install your system, download the iso file and burn it onto a dvd with infra-recorder > select actions > burn image > browse for the file.
Hen done, boot the dvd to re-install windows as new as you first bought your computer
