I have replaced my computer and want to download McAfee Total Protection that I have paid for online. The download won't load and gives me error messages of 0X800c0019. I have tried to access the free online technical assistance but when trying to load chat assist (which is a required step) it won't load and says An error occurred while trying to connect. Please try again. I have read all the FAQ's and followed all the directions. My only other option is to use the phone service for $2.95 a minute which is wrong since I think it is McAfee's fault that I can't load their program which I have paid for.
I disabled my firewall and turned off all security protections in control panel and removed all programs that could be security programs. Of course, I reversed all this temp when I couldn't download McAfee. And McAfee isn't responding to the numerous emails I have sent them.
I'm running Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7. But will search for windows updates. Did download the dmex 3 and 4 or whatever they're called that mcafee tech support site instructed in FAQ's as a fix.

Is your operating system fully up to date? If you're running Windows Vista and it's not fully up to date there could be some compatibility issues causing your McAfee security suite not to install properly. Try updating Windows and then see if McAfee installs properly.
