go into start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore and choose a date before you had this problem, that will set it back the way it used to be.

      1: format hard drive
      2: install Linux
      3: ???
      4: profit

or just get VLC player (Google it)

try to go to ccleaner.com and download ccleaner. it's free. And run it. And on it there is a tools tab, click it and try uninstalling windows media player from there. but also run the other things to clean off registry files and things like that that might be causing issues.

You did one of these two:
-tried to un-installed windows media player.
-or rolled back to the previous version.
Download last version windows media player 11 it will fixed it, but your OS should be genuine.
