I am trying to uninstall all adobe products to reinstall reader. But I can't get it to uninstall. I am having run-time errors while attempting to view items with reader.
Long story short….
I had reader, wanted to install full version, the user limits were taken on the full version. So i wanted to uninstall full version. I thought it was uninstalled, but it didn't uninstall. Now I am having problems with Adobe Reader 9. It gives me run-time errors and closes. I cannot even look at a PDF file online. I needs lots of help please.
I downloaded the information from the link you provided (thank you). I did what it said to do, but I still cannot get Adobe to remove properly. When I go back to Add Remove Programs, and click on REMOVE Adobe, it gives me this message:
This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.

You have entered the Adobe removal nightmare zone! I was there a few weeks ago. After considerable research, I found a Microsoft product called "Windows Install Cleanup." Running it removed all the remnants of Adobe's programs and enabled me to reinstall Creative Suite 3.
