I have windows media player 11 in vista and hate it. When I go to the add remove programs it doesn't show up, and there is no show updates option.I have tried everything and can't figure anything out.

I don't think you can because it is integrated with your system just like internet explorer 7. If its bothering you just set all your defaults to another media player like itunes or whatever.

Click start go to search. Click on all file and folders, Type in the boxes, windows media player and delete the files. Just remember that some files are shared.
