I just recently switched from AT&T DSL to Comcast & I dowloaded their McAfee Security Suite. It keeps finding: “PRC VIEWER” & when I click remove it won’t let me remove it completely. What is a PRC Viewer & what is it used for? I went through the Q&A’s on here & it said to change my IP Address.
So I clicked on START, RUN, then typed COMMAND, IPCONFIG/REINSTALL it gives me the following error:

I also tried just clicking on START, RUN, then typing IPCONFIG/REINSTALL (without typing command first & it gave me the following error:
http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o81/roniceb/?action=view¤t=ipconfig-release.jpg
I tried to see what was running on my computer so I went to START, RUN, then typed in cmd, netstat -b & the following screen popped up:

What are all those Established Local Hosts? I don’t understand how to read this screen. What does it mean? How can I tell if someone is hacking into my computer & if so, how do I fix the problem?

PrcViewer…is a generic detection that covers multiple variants of PRCViewer. PRCViewer is a small command line utility that can alter a processes characteristics (Affinity and Priority) and also View, Close, Kill, Suspend and Resume running processes, even when Task Manager access is disabled…
this stinks … use virus/malware scanners (spybot s&D & adAware are my faves )

(From the site given by the other answer.)
This is saying that the PRC Viewer is sometimes detected by anti virus BUT IS NOT a threat. It is ‘a program used to stop system processes’….. so you need not try to remove it. If you do remove it then you will have problems with your computer. Your firewall will alert you to any intrusion (hacking) attempts.
“If your referring to process.exe, it is part of the smitfruad fix tool and detected by some antivirus programs as a “RiskTool”, “Hacking tool, or “Potentially unwanted”; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Anti-virus programs cannot distinguish between “good” and “malicious” use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. See Command Line Process Viewer/Killer/Suspender for Windows NT/2000/XP.
Potentially unwanted does not necessarily mean the file is malware or a bad program. It means it has the potential for being misused by others.
The same can be said about PrcViewer. See [url=http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_137331.htm]here[/u.rl].
