How can you uninstall the program Network Magic from a d-Link wireless Router?

April 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Hi,i have a wireless d-link router for my Windows Vista computer, and the 30 day trial on the program Network Magic, has expired. I said we didn't want the program, and it took away the whole wireless internet! I don't want to pay for it because I don't need it,but it won't let me keep my wireless internet unless I buy network magic! Can anyone help me please?

yes i can…. i have an old dlink 524…what u have to do is uninstall the program… once u uninstall restart PC..

now depending on whether u are a cable or dsl customer you will have to reset the wireless router.. hold in for like 30 secs.

after that open up IE and go to 192.168.1.1
username should be admin and password should be password, or maybe the password is admin also or even left blank.

sorry its been some time since i reset the router.

once you in the webpage of your router you will have to run the wizard to reconnect to internet. PPoE for DSL and other thing for cable. just follow the steps.

if you cant get into the web page 192.168.1.1 u might have to reset the modem also…its simple for cable just unplug from that back of modem and wait 30 seconds. for DSL you have to hold down reset button and then reconfigure the modem. so u will have to have one ethernet cable directly from computer to modem. go into your modem webpage and reconfigure it… remember u probably have to put your modem on bridge mode when your ready to set up wireless router.
