How come my Firefox suddenly quits or gets into this weird thinking mode(cursor turns into rainbow color)?

How come my Firefox suddenly quits or gets into this weird thinking mode(cursor turns into rainbow color for way too long).This just started to happen yesterday.Right after I downloaded Flash,everytime I would check my Y!mail and click inbox,and actually even other websites,it would just start and get stuck into this rainbow cursor mode for too long so I end up just force quitting it.Sometimes,it would just quit on its own. I already threw out Flash by dragging it out to Trash then Emptying the trash.Then I downloaded Firefox 2.0.0.16 again( My Mac is OS X 10.2) but it's still the same.What's wrong?
