How come my videogame resolution choices doesn't match my monitor's max resolution?

June 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment

My monitor says it is 1920×1200 and my videocard is capable of doing that (Nvidia 8800 GTS 512mb), in the games it only allows me to go to 1680 x 1050. And I have already installed the driver from the disk (no updated driver available online).

How can get my games to give me the higher resolution options (which were available with my old monitor)?

Thanks.

You need to get a more modern video game that matches the monitor's screen…Or it may be the other way around where you need a more modern monitor to match the video game.
