How do I access my Avast! Virus Chest? And other AntiVirus issues!?

Version: Avast! 4 Home Edition
Comp: Windows XP Home Edition

I have Trend Micro P-Cillin and Avast! (I just downloaded Avast earlier today). I would like to remove Trend Micro (Vs. 12). If you know how to remove Trend Micro w/o deleting files that are currently in that quarantine. And, if there was to be a better FREE Anti-Virus Programs… etc. Would you recommend? I'd like to stay away from AVG, Avast!, and Trend Micro (I know, it's paid for).

And, I'm pretty good w/ computers, just not so good about "cleaning" it!
