September 27th, 2008 · 4 Comments

I keep getting the message “Moved object is bigger that archive size limit”. I have like 20 threats that need to be removed. How can I heal or move them?

go into safemode by rebooting and tapping the F8 key at same time choose safemode with networking open your browser and go to safety.live.com this is microsofts safety scanner choose protection scan be patient as this is a large download when finished try the other scans offered…you can also use Housecall.TrendMicro.com or Sophos.com or F-Secure.com

      Double click AVG Free icon

      Click “Computer Scanner”

      Click “Change Scan Settings”

      Check all the boxes necessary.

      Click “Next”

Check all the boxes necessary again.

      Then click “Scan”

      I hope this helped!

Double click AVG icon on system tray to open AVG window.
First, click on History, Virus Vault, select all infections in there and delete.
To help in the future, click on Tools menu, Advanced settings. Expand Maintenance node if needed, then click on Virus Vault; then either uncheck the Limit Virus Vault Size check box or slide it to the right for more space. In Automatic File Deletion portion, change the days to keep in vault down to maybe 10, files keep in vault maybe 200.
Vault is where it keep the infected files when it fix, like Quarantine on other antivirus.

go to your virus vault and delete all the old viruses and then give it a try
