How do I connect my Xbox 360 to my PC Monitor?

I want to know if there is a little cheap device that I can connect the AV jacks into the (device) and the (device) into my monitor? I know there is the VGA cord from Microsoft, but I don’t want to spend $39.99 for the entire cord. Is there a smaller, cheaper device? If so, what is it called and where can I get it at?
