how do i connect my xp laptop to my wireless network w/c uses WPA2 encryption?

Solved

i can see the network on the list of wireless networks and i can TRY to connect. no message error appears like windows cannot connect etc. but just the ‘waiting for the network…’ box and after a while it disappears and i’m still not connected, without any message.

i already modified the advanced settings according to the router’s but apparently, after trying to connect, the network authentication switches back to ‘Open’ and ‘WEP’ encryption.

i would suggest that you change your encription to WEP it is still as secure and easier to use. plus if you have any devices that arent a pc it won’t connect to WPA2.
