How do I exclude Yahoo Mail from Norton Internet Security’s Ad-Blocking service?

August 24th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I like the ad-blocking service of Norton Internet Security because it does blocks ads from websites and that includes Yahoo Mail, but the thing is, each time I sign in to Yahoo Mail, an error message appears, and will not allow me to continue unless I use Yahoo Mail Classic. I prefer to use the All-New Yahoo Mail because it got a lot of all-new features which the classic doesn’t have. So, how can I exclude Yahoo Mail from NIS ad-blocking service? I already deleted some rules for Yahoo on the ad-blocking configuration, but still it doesn’t work..

try clicking on the anti-spam tab once you open Norton, and configure the emailing section, click on the allowed and make sure yahoo email is in the allowed and not the blocked section and see if that helps, Norton may be good but is a real problem sometimes with what and who is allowed, however after it blocked a hacker yesterday on my PC I shall leave the ad blocking and the rest of the settings as they stand even if it means some sites are not allowed. I do know there is a section/option in Norton to type in the allowed sites or people.
