McAfee Virus scan started alerting me that it had detected a Vundo Trojan and Boaxxe Trojan but it could not remove it because it may have been protected. I have no idea how it got there but I rebooted my computer and entered Safe Mode with Networking and ran a scan on my computer. It seemed to work as McAfee said that various Vundo and Boaxxe files were deleted. I log back on normally and everything seem fine until McAfee alert me again that it has detected boaxxe.dll again. I need help getting rid of this annoying trojan and further more, keeping it deleted and off my system.
I am running on XP home edition and as such have found that because of this trojan I cannot open up System Restore settings, Windows Update, and System settings.
I am willing to exchange e-mail information to anyone that is able to help me with this and it will be much appreciated. If you have experience in dealing with this sort of problem then please state it, it would be great if one of us knew what we were doing! lol!
Thanks and have a great day/afternoon/evening.

I can not log in to "System Restore Settings" I can system restore but **all** of my previous restore dates have been erased. I only have one restore point and that is the time I got the boaxxe trojan. So you see, I don't know how to turn off system restore without going in to it's settings.
