It keeps telling me I need to update. So I click update, and after it updates, it tells me I need to update again. So I click update again, and after it's done, it tells me it needs to update again! I keep updating it but it never stops telling me I need to keep updating?? What the heck?!

Was it a trial version that expired? If so, then don't bother updating, uninstall it, and then download avg or avast antivirus. They both work better than norton + they are free. You can get them at download.com.
If you really want to keep Norton, then go to their website and see if you could manually download the definitions and then manually update it.
