i get this error message every time i try to click the messenger icon or send a message or i am to a friend
(windows cannot access the specified device,path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.)
i did that already like a few times and i still keep having the same problem is their a possible way to delete the whole program off my computer completely ? and then reinstall without an error difficulty

Try this..Go to start and click on control panel. Then select add and remove. Remove Yahoo messenger and then re-download it. Good luck.

it seems to me, a user privilege is not or at least is in effect?, what do i mean, the user privilege of the user you are using could belong to a group who supposively doesn’t have a right to execute an application. what you have to do is first you check your group, if you are from a network under a domain ask your system administrator, for me, as an instructor and software engineer, reinstall is a final option however, like what you have said 6 times is a lot more than annoying against your mother’s mouth, anyway, if the specified path is not found, you have to do a conventional way of checking that is by going thru the installation folder and see to it that the app.exe is existent. let me hear from you and i’ll get back to you, good luck and cheers
