I have a problem. My daughter did something (no, really. It really was my daughter). My search bar, the one to the right of the address bar in Opera shows that it is Yahoo…..but it doesn’t work at all if I type something in there….and there are no other options when I right click the search bar. I tried resetting to default. Opera told me to do an un install, remove leftover files, and re install Opera 10. I wanted google to be my search engine, and Opera support told me that Opera 10 would give me that option.
So I have done the un install, and I have searched for all opera files in every possible area. No luck…I still get the unusable Yahoo search bar when I re install. The address bar is fine.
Opera support basically said "good luck."
Anyone got any ideas???
Thanks for that info, it may be good to know this for the future.
So, here is what I did. Pretty much did an un install, looked for and deleted leftover Opera files, ect. Same as before EXCEPT this time I set up the program on my "H" drive. I have a C and an H drive.
This time I downloaded Opera 10….and Google search bar was already there sitting pretty, and it even works!
Opera 10 looks cool.
