how do i get antivirus 2008and spywaremaster off my computer?

my computer got infected,i installed kaspersky anti virus system,it got rid of the problem my computer is back in normal functions but the Anti Virus 2008 still keeps coming up and doing its own scanning.I tried to get rid of it but I can't even find it in my programs list.What should i do?
