How do i get rid of live updates from my security software on my computer?

I just had antivirus xp 2008 but cleaned it up with windows live one care. A pop up keeps coming up that says Security alert from Symantec with a warning saying that my computer is at risk in the following areas: Virus protection is out of date and firewall protection is turned off. then i press ok and it pops up again. how do i fix this?

if its out of date, then renew it. and simply go on norton and turn on firewall.
