How do I get rid of these Trojan Viruses?

September 28th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I went to run a scan the other day using AVG and it found 3 Trojan Viruses and when I try to remove any of the 3 it gives me a message saying, “Moved object is bigger then the archive size limit” and it won’t let me remove the viruses it just gives me the options to either go to the file location or ignore it, can anyone help me please

If you know the name of the Trojan files, type the name in Google or Yahoo search and you should get removal instructions. If that doesn’t help, go to http://www.Norton.com and look for the Trojan name there. That should give you info. on removal. Good Luck!

      Your Virus Vault is full.
In AVG8 - Open the AVG User Interface, on the top click on History, in the list click on Virus Vault. Empty the Vault and you should free up the space.
Click on Tools, select “Advanced Settings” and look for Maintenance, it has a + by it, click it and you will see the option for the Virus Vault. Check how much space your Vault is allowed to use, you should select a size that is going to be no less than 1Gb, generally 10% of the drive space is the default and this is fine.
If it is still proving to be a problem then “go to the file location” option is what you want, it will open the folder the Virus is in, you should be able to delete it from there like any normal file.
