How do I get rid of this windows XP virus protection software????

I accidently clicked install to this windows XP anti virus protection software and it messed up my computer. This fake windows XP anti virus program wont let me open up my control pannel or let me go on anything besides this anti virus program.. how can i get rid of the program/installation???!

      i had a similar problem a few months ago. i acidentally installed a fake program that was probably a virus itself. i was able to uninstall it through add or remove programs, but since you cant go to control panel u cant do that. you will need to reinstall windows to fix this.

      the one i got was called virusheat, and it kept changing my homepage to their homepage. i had to go into internet explorer and had to disable this add on that kept making that my homepage.
