My dad wants me to install this HP 1220C printer on my bro’s computer but I can’t get it to work. Every time I hook it up, a dialogue box appears saying that I need the HPFUD50.DLL file from my Windows XP CD. Below that it tells me type in the field below what pathway this file is located in.
I’m not sure if I have this file on my computer and if it is on the computer, could someone please tell me where or how I could find it?
My dad did not give me any software for the printer. He said I should be able to hook it up and have no probs. : /
Please help!

I take it the pc you are installing it on is running XP? If so visit

they have drivers for your printer and that should install fine. If you are using vista, then it should install on its own fine and if not, the printer is probably incompatible

To see if you have that DLL file on your pc, you can go to Start>Search and in the blank field type the name of the dll file ( HPFUD50.dll. XP will show it on the right side of the screen if it’s on your pc and will tell you " Search not found" if it’s not on your pc. If not on your pc, you need to reinstall drivers for printer using CD or go to HP website and see if you can download drivers from site.
