How do I make Firefox Portable my default web browser for all applications?

Okay, so Mozilla Firefox can easily be set as the default browser by going to its Options.. Still, whenever I try to open something that needs the web browser, it would still open the Mozilla Firefox that is NOT the Portable.. Like when I click the mail icon from Yahoo Messenger.. The web browser that it would open will still be my old Mozilla Firefox..

Is there any way that I can make Firefox Portable my default web browser for all applications?

Any and all answers would be greatly appreciated..

      you cannot associate filetypes with portable software.
