I installed norton symantec antivirus on my mac and then It started to annoy me so I deleted the application by dragging and dropping it into the recycle bin. Unfortunately every time anyone tries to connect with my mac I am warned by Anti-Virus. I dont know why or how its still running on my mac but how do I remove it completely?

ok- go to symantec.com and look for the Norton Antivirus Remover. Make sure you get the right one or it wont work right. Its works better than doing it manually as you know.

You can also go to the "spotlight" icon in the top right corner and type in Norton, and/or Symantec. Then trash all the software with those names and empty the trash.
P.S. SInce there are no MacOS X viruses, you don’t need ant antivirus application.
