WINRAR is a scam/virus that won’t delete off my computer and AVG virus alerts keep on popping up every five seconds or less, literally. Its so annoying and i think its disabled some settings on my computer. How can i permanently delete these files.I went to program files and tried deleting them but they won’t delete. It says re-delete and undelete but it won’t delete.Help!
Also if this helps, the AVG thing that keeps popping up is called resident alert.

The real Winrar is a file compression/decompression program. It’s not a virus. That’s not to say a virus could be named Winrar. IF it’s the real program and you want to uninstall it use Revo Uninstaller
http://www.revouninstaller.com/
If it’s malware use Malwarebytes
http://malwarebytes.org/
Download install and update the program, then do a full scan in Safe Mode.
