This will take about an hour.
Switch off System Restore - you can re-start it if you choose to when your computer is clean.
Install the free version of SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com Update it and run a full scan.
Install ccleaner http://ccleaner.com - run the ccleaner and the registry scans and delete what they find but repeat the registry one until nothing is detected.
Reboot and job done.
I’d also recommend you install a good anti-virus program like avast home edition http://avast.com
and another good anti-spyware program is spybot search and destroy http://safer-networking.org

if you open your add/remove programs you wont find it there so theres no way you can uninstall it. so the first thing you do is is open task manager by pressing ctrl, alt, delete at the same time and beside application click on processes and find ‘xpa.exe’ click on it once and then click on ‘end process’. after you do that, go to ‘my computer’ and open ‘local c’ and then look for ‘ program and files’ after you do that, locate the ‘XP antivirus’ folder and delete that folder. close the window and run ‘Ccleaner’ if you dont already have it you can download it from http://www.filehippo.com. when you do that open Ccleaner and analize then run the cleaner. when your done run the registry scan. Click on scan for issues and wait until its done then click on fix selected issues. when you do that, it should ask you if you want to backup your registry click on “no” then click on “fix ALL issues then click ok. after that close ccleaner and drag your mouse to the xp antivirus icon at the bottom right and it will dissapear. when your done, download super antispyware from http://www.download.com and do a quick scan with it and it should be COMPLETELY gone. restart your computer after scan. this should all take you about 10-15 minutes but dont worry after this is done, you will feel alot better now that its gone

This is how I got rid of Antivirus XP 2008. It is different than the XP Antivirus 2008 most sites refer to.
First you need to stop the program from loading on startup. This is what you do to stop it:
Start, run
Type msconfig
Go to Startup tab
Uncheck lphc35dj0e1an
Uncheck rhc75dj0e1an
Click apply, then ok
Restart computer
Then you need to delete the main files this program uses. Delete the following file:
C:\windows\system32\lphc35dj0e1an.exe
Delete the following folder and all contents:
C:\program files\rhc75dj0e1an
This should remove the program from your system but you probably still have a warning message displayed as your wallpaper in Windows and the virus removed the ability to change the wallpaper or your desktop settings.
To restore ability to change your desktop settings and select a different wallpaper and screen saver do the following:
Start, run
type Gpedit.msc
Navigate to User configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, Display
Right click on Remove Display in Control Panel
Click on Properties and select Disabled
Do the same steps to change the following attributes to disabled:
Hide Desktop Tab
Prevent changing wallpaper
Hide Apperance and Themes tab
Hide Settings tab
Hide Screen Saver tab
You should now be able to use your computer normally and change the wallpaper to something other than the warning message Antivirus XP 2008 set it to.
