Bad idea! If you want to use Norton, register it so you can get the weekly updates of the virus definitions database. Without the updates, the program will quickly become out of date and useless. If you don’t want Norton any longer, go to http://www.symentec.com you will find there is a procedure to follow to remove Norton. It is not the normal uninstall procedure.

You can’t remove the reminder without removing Norton. If that’s what you want to do, use this link to get the removal tool. You can’t remove it on your own.

If removing it isn’t the problem, then I don’t understand your question.

re: lucee - I have an example: from this morning it started telling me there was a critical error that needed fixing - every few minutes. Whats this critical error? that my subscription expires in 30 days. Ok already, I heard, 30 days from now there will be a problem, now its not a problem, so shut up about it. Actually I will not renew this version, I want to wait until they release 2009 so I can buy that. Its not out yet, so I may have to wait a month. No way am I looking forward to a month of alerts every few minutes. In 30 days it can shut itself if it wants, but not today. (a) I want it, (b) I will pay, (c) I will pay later when I can buy the new version, not be stuck for another year with this one. Somehow I made a mistake and got into the same cycle as the product releases, so I cant upgrade at my leisure.
