I recently uninstalled trend micro internet security pro 2009 from my computer. All of trend micro uninstalled correctly (its files, folders, etc.)from my computer except for the remote file lock vault icon on my desktop. I cannot remove it for the life of me! It gives me fits! The program is gone and nothing happens when I click on it. It just sits there taking up space on my desktop. I want that icon gone. Why won't it delete. When I manually try to put it in the recycle bin it won't go into it. I don't want some rogue, non-operational icon on my desktop. THIS BUGS ME !!!!This is all that's left of any remnant of trend micro on my computer and I want it gone! Its just an icon! Surely there is a simple way to remove the dumb thing! Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can remove the icon? Its not causing any problems with my computer but it is a BIG annoyance! Is my only recourse to contact trend micro? Am I going to have to resort to taking it to a computer repair place and pay big bucks just to see if they can remove an icon? I hope not. If there is any tech savvy computer person out there that can tell me how to remove a non-functioning icon from my desktop, that doesn't give me an option to delete it when I right click on it and also won't go into the recycle bin when I manually drag it to it, I would greatly appreciate the help! Thanks so much in advance!
