How do i remove / uninstall a faulty external hard drive? ?

September 26th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I recently bought a 40gb external hard drive for my computer which is running on windows xp, i plugged in the hard drive through the usb and the plug and play started to install it. While it was recognizing and installing it i accidentally pulled out the usb lead! Now it will not work correctly but i can’t seem to find a way to uninstall it to start again, Any ideas?

Try turn on the computer first than the external hard drive. It did work for my hard drive.
