How do i remove virus in a file called IASRA.dll??

May 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments

the file iasra.dll is shown corrupted by my antivirus, kaspersky but the antivirus is unable to delete the file as it is a part of the windows boot up system/ startup objects. also my task manager, regedit, msconfig etc. have been blocked(due to the same virus, i guess). any suggestions on how i can get rid of this problem, without having to format the computer?

      for XP
put the windows installation disk in cd drive
      open command prompt
      type sfc /scannow
      press enter
that will replace/repair any corrupt windows system file
      for Vista

Download a clean version of it from http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/I/iasrad.dll/5.1.2600.2180/download.html , boot to safe mode, go to it's location and rename the existing version iasra.bad.dll , copy the good version there, reboot to safe mode, delete manually iasra.bad.dll and run again Kasperski. Hopefully you will not have to do a XP repair.
