I turned on my computer today and i found a virus a file called sknc.dll that was at C:/WINDOWS/system32/sknc.dll. i could not open any programs, it would display an error and my AVG would simply stop me and give me the choice to heal, move to vault or ignore the virus, I chose to move it to the virus vault but the problem carried on. I decided to seek advice elsewhere with my laptop (internet explorer would not work either) to see if it was an important file before deleting it, i found out that the sknc.dll file was a virus and was advised to delete it as soon as i could but when i did my computer screen went black and shut down, a blue screen came up with this:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Procces system procces terminated unexpectedly with a status o << the writing carries on off the screen
F 0xc0000135 (0×00000000 0×0000000).
The system has been shut down.
Now whenever i try to restart my computer it displays this blue screen and crashes. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Reply: if i were to re-install my OS would this mean i would lose everything on my hard drive? Is there somewhere i can go to get my hard drive backed up before doing this?

save as much as you can and reinstall your OS

Re-installing Windows will likely overwrite all of your existing data. Boot to a live GNU/Linux distribution so you can save your data.
