Download the file and save to your desktop. Before opening it, right click and find something along the lines of “Scan for viruses” or “Scan with Norton.”

Once it’s scanned you can open it. Simply put, you can’t scan things that are still on the server, they need to be downloaded locally first.

      Good luck!

In short, you can’t scan them with your Norton unless they are on your system. One thing you CAN do is set up Norton so tat it will monitor your download and alert you if it sees a problem file as it is downloaded.
