How do i send photos from windows Vista?

Hi, I am using windows photo gallery to send photos via the e-mail attachment. When i click on this it prompts me to set-up an e-mail account via windows. If i do this it further asks what my Incoming e-mail server is- POP3 or IMAP ( i am with yahoo.com) it also asks my outgoing e-mail server. Can anyone help? This is driving me crazy as with XP i never had these problems as it was set-up on http.
