My Guitar Hero 3 game is running so slow that it kinda skips and I can’t hit the notes! I have a 900 dollar HP Pavilion that is only a year and a half years old. Is there any way to speed up a pc game?

Yes, you can get better hardware. A faster CPU, more RAM and a good graphics card go a long way.
