How do i stop avast from scanning a file?

November 1st, 2008 · 1 Comment

I have this game Warrock that i have been playing like all year and now its telling me when i start it that it contains a sample of win32-gen or something like that, i know that the client is safe to use but i want to keep my scanning thing on standard but i want it to stop telling me that that file has a virus when i know it doesn’t.

Right click the Avast icon to bring up On-Access Protection Control panel.

[Hit the “Details >> button to bring up the advanced menu]

      Scroll down to “Standard Shield”
      Hit Customize (button)
      Hit Advanced (tab)

In the section where it says “Here you can modify the list of locations that will not be scanned and/or tested”, click the Add button to add your own rules. Point the path to your Warrock game folder (game client application folder).
