How do I turn off the “Norton Anti-Virus”check on my Yahoo email account?

When I try to download a picture from an email, I must first approve the “File Download”, then I must authorize a Norton Anti-Virus Check, before I can either open or save a picture. This has changed since Yahoo’s last upgrade (????)…. In the past, All I had to do was right click on a picture and the screen would ask me if I wanted to “Open” or “Save” the picture, now I must go through too many steps. Please tell me how to correct this situation…
