I can’t uninstall AIM 6 because whenever I click the uninstaller, a pop-up comes up that says “Run uninstaller after installation is complete.” Also usually when I try that, my Symantic Anti-Virus program detects a Trojan Horse. Any ideas why?

finish setting up aim then go to add and remove programs remove aim from there

Open the program and double click program and do advanced uninstall and ONLY CHECK OFF BOLD ITEMS
and it will force install and delete every trace of the program
and then run this

take step 4 if u cant uninstall. other steps are also necessary for computer protection.
1. install yahoo toolbar with antispyware. update and check everyday
2. install google toolbar. it has a built-in popup blocker. its great
3. you need an antivirus. try eset nod32 smart security. write me if u need full version
4. have ur computer scanned with this online virus scanner now

5. open internet explorer->tools->internet options->privacy tab. set the bar to “medium high”.
6. pen internet explorer->tools->internet options->security tab. click internet earth icon and set the bar to ”medium high” level.

To uninstall the AIM software:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
If using Windows XP, click the Start button, then click Control Panel.
If using Windows 98, Windows Me, or Windows 2000, click the Start button, click Settings, then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Add Or Remove Programs or Add/Remove Programs icon.
3. Click AOL Instant Messenger to highlight it, then click the Change/Remove or Add/Remove button.
4. When the uninstall is complete, restart your computer.
