I needed an anti-virus program a couple months ago. I never really tried AVG before, so I tried it out. and this is the impression it gives me:
I try to install it, and asks me to uninstall all my other anti-virus programs, otherwise it won't install
It downloaded safe search onto mozilla firefox and uninstalled mcafee siteadvisor… i tried to reinstall multiple times but AVG always uninstalled it. So i tried to disable it to get mcafee to work. but that didn't work at all. And they disabled the uninstall button.
Sick of AVG being sore and childish, I had to delete it from the source.
And I just realized mcafee site adviser is gone again…
Whenever AVG said it detected a virus, it had no option or ANYTHING other than a button that said "Okay"
So I wanted to end this bull and uninstall it.
But it is being sore and says "uninstall failed"
When I tried to delete it from the program files folder… they made sure that couldn't done either.
And I have a pretty good feeling AVG crashed the new anti-virus program I installed yesterday. It even found 6 viruses that AVG was too cheap to find in its own virus scanner.
SO! Is there anyway I can get rid of AVG? Cause this is the worst experience I've had with a antivirus. Thanks. This is also my own note for other people who haven't tried it yet.

OR

Tips:
Free AVG is crap as you now know.
You can only run one AV.
